Horizon2020 - funding opportunities in computing area

Horizon2020- Computing topics

Lessons learnt and future funding opportunities for R&D cooperation in the area of Computing (Parallel computing, supercomputing, HPC) in Horizon2020

HPC (High-Performance Computing) is a strategic resource for Europe's future as it allows researchers to study and understand complex phenomena while allowing policy makers to make better decisions and enabling industry to innovate in products and services. The European Commission funds projects to address these needs.

The budget for these topics in the next four years is about 150 M Euro.

The relevant topics for 2016-17 can be found in the current FET work program.

In the suggested workshop, that will take place during the PACT 2016 event in Israel (http://pactconf.org/),
ISERD (the Israel-Europe R&D Directorate) will present these funding opportunities, the PRACE initiative, ETP4HPC European Technology Platform and few Israeli success stories for funded Computing European projects. The workshop is planned for two hours, including information regarding H2020 funding opportunities, public services offered by ISERD for the Israeli participants, and the European Computing research area.
