The Research Executive Agency (REA) is organising the Info Day on the 2016 calls for proposals of the Societal Challenge 2 - ‘Food security, sustainable agriculture and forestry, marine and maritime and inland water research and the bioeconomy’. This Info Day is one of the events organised as part of the SC2 Info week and will be held in Brussels on 25 November.

During this event an overview of the new funding opportunities available under the Societal Challenge 2 (SC2) 2016 calls for proposals will be provided. It targets potential applicants for the four calls: ‘Sustainable Food Security’, ‘Blue Growth’, ‘Rural Renaissance’ and ‘Bio-based innovation’.

The morning session will focus on the research priorities of the new Work Programme and will give an update on practical aspects of proposals' submission and evaluation.

The afternoon session will be divided into parallel sessions organised by call and topic. During which key aspects of the new topics will be presented. The participants, after registering, will be given an opportunity to send questions related to the SC2 2016 calls and this input will serve as a basis for much of the discussion.
