On 22.01.2018 The Commission issued a new Cybersecurity topic under the ICT LEIT Call for proposals - SU-ICT-03-2018: Establishing and operating a pilot for a Cybersecurity Competence Network to develop and implement a common Cybersecurity Research & Innovation Roadmap.
This topic joins the 3 other Cybersecurity topics in the ICT LEIT Call.
The goal is to propose & test a network spanning across a number of countries with a central hub that will help solve key industrial challenges for different sectors through R&I activities related to next generation industrial and civilian cybersecurity technologies (including dual-use), applications and services.
The Commission expects -
Cybersecurity R&D&I centres across Europe (e.g. university labs/research centres), industry
Consortium of minimum 9 Member States or Associated Countries & 20 partners
Involvement and close collaboration with industry actors required (from at least 3 various sectors per proposal - e.g. telecom, finance, transport, eGovernment, health, space, defence)
Proposers encouraged to involve the relevant governmental bodies and authorities for monitoring and assessing the projects’ results during their life-cycles.
A budget of 50 Million Euro is dedicated to this, with an expected contribution of up to 16 Million Euro per project.
The Topic will open 01.02.2018 and will close 29.05.2018.
To help find relevant partners the Commission has opened a survey indexing the European cybersecurity centers of expertise.
All relevant centers must register before 15.02.2018
