Now in its third edition and attracting over 150 stakeholders each year, the European Cyber Security Conference provides a platform for a lively and interactive debate on the current and future political and technological cyber security challenges that Europe faces.

This year's event will focus heavily on 3 themes:

  • The policy framework: Is Europe confident it has the right policy and political framework to tackle existing and emerging threats?
  • Addressing Europe's weak spots: Is internet security still an afterthought? Are cyber attacks viewed as the type of incident that "happens to someone else"? How do we create a culture across Europe's business and civil communities that places cyber security at the front of our thinking? Are we insuring ourselves against critical cyber incidents and what are the consequences of not doing so? Which new innovations will help with the analysis and management of future cyber threats?
  • Cyber terrorism and state actor threats: How are Europe's military, civil protection and law enforcement agencies coordinating to protect Europe's interests? Is it possible to develop international codes of conduct to help prevent cyber warfare? How are civil liberties being protected?

To bring the debate to life and to illustrate the threats Europe faces, Forum Europe is organising a live hacking demonstration. More details will be released in due course.

Attended by senior policymakers, business leaders and cyber experts, this conference is a must attend for all those with a stake in delivering a more secure digital economy and society in Europe.
